Dressed in blue sparkling dress with golden jacket and overskirt, she was the first Souvenir Doll for The Netherlands. A ribbon of the Dutch flag surrounded her and decorated the box. A pair of real wooden shoes with Dutch scenery came with her as a funny combination of Barbie glamour and Dutch soberness. Only 60 dolls were made.
A replica of Barbie's Picnic Set was the outfit for the second Souvenir Doll. Complete with fishing pole with fish and woven picnic basket, which looked almost like the original! Her straw hat with green and blue ribbons even had the tiny green frog on it. Her shoes? Unpainted real wooden shoes, Barbie size, of course. Only 60 dolls were made.
A dark-haired doll wears the Aboard Ship replica from 1965-'66 and came with "Holland"-poster and brochures of Dutch interesting places to go to. Red wooden shoes and a blue one with sail to play with like children used to do in the past. Only 60 dolls were made.
Friday Night Date was the inspiration for this red-haired doll. Her hairdo seems a lot like the TNT Barbie from 1967 with a green ribbon on top of it. The white dress is a replica of the original cotton underdress and the corduroy jumper seems to be made from the same fabric as the blue one from 1960. She even has felt appliqués in the same colors as her bouquet of Dutch spring flowers. The Dutch scenery with windmill and her decorated wooden shoes completed this 4th doll. Only 65 dolls were made.
The Barbie In Holland Souvenir Doll for 1998 shows us a doll dressed up like a street musician in the old days. She is wearing a white, long-sleeved shirt, dark brown corduroy slacks with elastic suspenders. Her dark red scarf and houndstooth cap make this outfit complete. Accessories are a real working brass mouth organ, music paper and real wooden shoes. The scenery at the background shows us typical houses and a canal in Amsterdam. Only 70 dolls were made.
